Subject: Note from Biblemem email list. New email address for list.
From: Stephen Simpson
Happy new year to all!
A few administrative notes about the email discussion list:
1) I have changed the email address of the list. I preview each message sent to
the list to make sure that no spam or other junk gets sent around.
At this time I was receiving so much junk in the inbox that it took too long to
filter it all out.
The new email address for the list is biblememory@memoryverses.org. If you wish
to post a message to the group, please send it to that address instead of the
old one which was biblemem@memoryverses.org
If you wish to unsubscribe then send a note saying "unsubscribe" to that same
address.
2) The biblemem discussion list is now six years old. The list now has 382
members. If anyone wants to see the list archives then visit
http://www.memoryverses.org/archives.shtml.
3) The list has been very quiet over the last few weeks. Somebody say
something. How is everybody doing?
Thanks,
Stephen Simpson
List Moderator.

Subject: 2 SAMUEL ANYONE ??
From: Philip Walker
Hi. My name is Phil Walker. I belong to a small group of memorizers who are
memorizing a verse from each chapter of the Old Testament.
The last two months our group has been reviewing the verses we learned from
GENESIS - 1 SAMUEL. This has been a very enjoyable activity, as well as
profitable in giving us an overview of those OT books as well as helping us
enjoy some wonderful less known truths of God.
On January 1st, 2004 we will be starting 2 SAMUEl. I would like to invite you
and/or friends of yours to join us.
The members in the group rotate each nominating the verses they like from 5
chapters. From these verses, the official verses are emailed to each member
committing to that book.
The group often takes time to review at the end of months, and tries to start
new books on the 1st of the month. This helps us keep tract of which verse we
are supposed to memorize each day as well as giving people an opportunity to
join and/or stop as they wish each month.
The tentative 2004 schedule is as follows:
Jan 1-24 = 2 SAMUEL
Feb 1-22 = 1 KINGS
March 1-25 = 2 KINGS
April 1-29 = 1 CHONICLES
May 1- June 5 = 2 CHRONICLES
June 11-20 = EZRA
July 1-13 = NEHEMIAH
July 21-20 = ESTHER
August 1 - September 11 = JOB
October 1-30 = PSALMS 1-30
November 1-30 = Review of 2 SAMUEL, 2 KINGS, 2 CHRONICLES, NEHEMIAH, and JOB
December 1-31 = Review of 1 KINGS, 1 CHRONICLES, EZRA, ESTHER, and PSALM 1-30
Currently our group has both teenagers and adults.
The accountablity is flexible. Some just prefer to receive the list of verses
and to be on their own to memorize; others quiz themselfs every 5 days. Those
who email their quizzes to me receive them back graded.
If you would like to join us or would like more information, please feel free to
email me philjohn1558@yahoo.com
Please also pray for the group as we seek to honor our LORD JESUS CHRIST and
learn His Word!
Thank you, Phil Walker

Happy New Year everyone!! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all for
input and suggestions last year to help me memorize and retain chapters. I am
currently working on memorizing my 4th chapter since you advice and
encouragement. And, I am retaining what I learned!! God is faithful to impress
His word on my heart when I put forth the work.
Some of you that have memorized the better part of the NT are certainly role
models! Thanks again for your help!
Hope everyone is doing well. The list has been quiet. I'm looking forward to
hearing what God has done in your lives and memory work last year. Maybe we
could take a moment this new year and post a line or two sharing what God has
done in our lives over the past year, and memory goals we are looking forward to
this year?
take care
Beth
