I am specifically talking about special memory tricks and methods, not so much time and materials organization. If it is possible, include as many specific examples as you can using actual scripture passages that you have memorized. I am now in the final stages of developing a Windows computer program which will replace the old DOS program that has been available for the last four years. I hope to have it available on the Web within the next six weeks or so. As part of the program I have written several essays on the topic of scripture memorization. One of the essays, which is currently in the process of being written concerns the mechanics of memorization. I have read several books on memory training and the subject of mnemonics and find it a fairly easy task to write about the topic of memorization methods in general, but find am having some trouble applying it to the memorization of scripture, especially in bulk. Any ideas will be of great help. (Note any ideas that you share should be public domain, uncopyrighted ideas or be supplied with a source or reference so it can be properly noted in the essay.) While I am at it, I have a second request. I am also collecting lists of verses which you would recommend be memorized. I will also be including a essay giving people some suggestions as to which sets of verses would be good to memorize. Perhaps this section will be directed to the memorizer who is first starting out, but it could also be useful for anyone in general. (Note also that these lists should be public domain lists which are not part of any other book or product.) This book is one of the classic history texts, a scholarly work on a subject that had not received much attention, yet written in a way that it has become a lay classic. Yates was also famous for her biography of Giordano Bruno." This book is amazing. Arthur A.
