I have been married to Jeff for almost 4 years. I have been a christian for almost 3 years I have 3 children Jesse 11, Kayla 8 and Kenneth 3. I joined this list because I wanted to learn how to effectively memorize scripture. I have just taken up scribing where basically you write out books of the bible. I haven't started yet. I think I am going to wait until the 1st and then start with proverbs and just write a chapter a day kind of thing. I got the idea from a friend of mine. Can't wait to get to know everyone. God bless you, Love ya, Dixie =============================================================================== Sent: September 27, 2003 5:08 PM Subject: Bible memory From: Christopher Pearson hello sister Mabel...my name is Christopher. And indeed you are welcome here I should cheerfully say! Are you currently memorizing any passages or anything, or trying to find encouragement to do so? Whatever one it is, the word of God is a blessing when we simply sit down and read it, let alone hide it so deep and indepth within our hearts. :o) "he who bears Christ" _________________________________________________________________ High-speed Internet access as low as $29.95/month (depending on the local service providers in your area). I started memorizing 1st Timothy a little while ago, to get a better understanding about how the church should be ran. And I decided that I was not going to tell anyone because I did not want to come off as haughty or proud in accomplishing anything. Anyway, I typed in Memory Verse in a search engine and--boom--there is the website! What an encouragement, and to hear that there are so many people involved! By my example a friend of mine is memorizing 1st Peter and he got another friend of ours involved and that friend got his youth group involved. I also encouraged a young man to begin memorizing 3 John and he is doing a great job! Then I started thinking, "Hey, what if the word could get out even better that a group of Believers is doing this?" Stephen, have you ever thought about a physical news letter or even a magazine or something? How cool would that be?!
